Harry Potter 7 & books

Today is that day, the day the final book of the series comes out (Actually it was yesterday night)
As I scan across forums and blogs, all sorts of misinformation and spoilers popup all over the page. People seem to want to ruin the book for other readers.

The series was pretty interesting and gave me something to do on a boring day. I used to read a lot, but later I got disinterested and annoyed at the obvious plots, so I just read a novel now and then just for the heck of it. I find that when you're reading, time passes faster. So if you're waiting for lunch and have nothing to do, its raining, a book is best to pass time. Unless you're one of the phone blabbers and chat with friends for 3 hours straight. =P

An old saying is "Don't judge the book by its cover"...but you have to, if the book has pink all over, a male would probably not like it. If the book has black cover with skulls everywhere, females probably wouldn't like it. With a few exceptions on personality.

Imma go read my book now =]

Friday the 13th

Well...today was a horrible day, possibly due to the fact that its friday the 13th. I'm not usually superstitious, and I kinda like friday the 13th because it's fun to play tricks on people and make them believe that it was caused by the day.

But today...today, my desktop broke down, and had to be fixed. And after it was supposedly fixed, EVERYTHING that I had on any disk was completely deleted. I have no more e-books, games, music, NOTHING.
After that incident, I went down to the swimming pool to swim a lap or two, but found that the place had closed down - due to a debt of $47000.

Now, after I finish writing this, I'm going down for a jog. Yes, its boring, but its better than sitting around twiddling my fingers.

Later then

Stress Relieving

Stress is a biiiggg negative factor in a teen's life. But not only teens, almost everybody in the world feels stressy sometime in their lives, teens just get it MORE (Exception is adults on debt payoff day). You'll feel stressed if you get bad grades and your parents yell at you, if everyone ignores you no matter how loud you talk, whatever.

Here are a few stress relieving tips for everyone:
1. If you're feeling stressed and down and depressed, do something you enjoy. Whatever it may be - go swimming, take your anger out at a punching bag, play guitar. But watching TV and playing video games is not recommended as it raises anxiety.

2. Talk to someone. If you're angry at your parents, talk to that favourite uncle/aunt of yours. They'll make you feel better and boost up your morale.

3. Take a walk outside, preferably somewhere with lots of trees and plants. Walk and take deep breaths and you'll be better in no time.

4. If you're the type that likes shopping a lot, go to the mall. Mall crawling has MANY stress relieving effects on your brain. Go look at all those new fashion, jewelery, and whatever else you would like.

5. Go listen to some music. Be it Mozart or rock, it sends positive energy waves through out your brain and calms the body. But don't turn the volume on too loud, unless you're feeling really terrible and need to release it.

6. Some people may like going to the gym. Lifting those weights and pumping iron can help circulate your system and give you something to concentrating on. Careful not to drop those weights on your foot though, as it increases stress ;D

Rainy Days

Sigh~~
Today's one of those days...dreary and wet all over the place. It had started to rain late morning and has continued non stop for 6 hours. The soccer field is wet, the b-ball court is wet, well, at least my plants are happy.

I was reduced to bouncing a ping pong ball back and forth a wall and trying to not be bored. It was a sad attempt, really.
I tried watching a bit TV, but nothing good was on, nothing good was EVER on lately. I tried swimming, but nobody else was at the pool on a rainy day, even if its indoor.

Well, here I am, typing about this rapidly getting boring day, but thats life. All anyone can do is to wish and wait for a better day tomorrow.

Trip to Boston

For the last 3 days, me and my family went on a trip to Boston.
The first day was pretty much traveling and rushing to the borders of U.S.A
We stopped at an Outlet Mall and bought lots of clothes and lots of other little trinkets. Then, we finally arrived at Boston at around 6 pm, had dinner at a seafood restaurant, and proceeded to the hotel.

After a good night's sleep, we got up at 5 in the morning to go whale watching. It was pretty fun, although the ride was boring. In those 4 hours, we saw lots of smaller whales surfacing and much larger humpbacks coming up for a breather.
When we came back from whale watching, we went to Quincy Market. It wasn't as fancy as the Outlet Mall, and was pretty messy, it had good food and entertainment. We watched a bunch of shows like illusionists, singers, and stunts.
After lunch, we went to have a look at Harvard University and had a tour there. And after that, we all retired at the famous 6 star Mohegan Sun Hotel. We first ate a bit at the buffet, then went to the casino.

On the last day, we got up at 6 am and hurried down to the tour bus leaving back home. After a long and uneventful trip, we arrived in Toronto at 11 pm. A cab was called and we were whisked back to where we live.

Summer Break

Well, the first day of summer break was pretty boring, mostly involving gaming on the computer. Ahhh well, there'll be more excitement the next 3 days since I'm gonna go on a trip to Boston. Hopefully that'll being some fun to the summer.

Today, I got the game Overlord.

It was pretty good for the first hour, then when I tried to run it again, I got a crummy runtime error ._.
Damn...I totally need to get new stuff for the computer. It's full of chips and stuff from 2004. Meh, time to get a job I suppose.

Gaming

As summer break sets in, I plan a long relaxing 2 months in which I do absolutely nothing...that, and playing games.

Like lots of other teens, I adore video games and a few sports. I decided that, over the summer, if I have nothing much to do, I will split the time between playing Online video games (MMOGs) and baseball, basketball, soccer, and swimming (Probably more swimming cuz its hot outside). Besides all the "Official" sports, I probably will be involved in games like water gun tag.

Summer is a time for students to drop the stress and play around, it is meant for students that enjoys a variety of activities but has no time to do them in school time.

Hoping for a good summer

Starting Off

My name is Joe. I live in Toronto, Ontario. I'm your average 14 year old trying to get by life, although finding it hard to at the moment (Since I got my grade 8 report card). I'm going to enlighten anyone who would care to read this about the general life of teens

Well, a teen's life isn't all jazz and music, there's loads of things to consider about how you want your world to be. It's not all fun and games and drugs, there's school, which is a huge bundle of stress dropped on you with all the schoolwork, assignments, and rules. You have to consider what you should be in the future, to make your parents/teachers proud of what you're doing (Although lots of people don't care for that, it IS an important self-satisfy thing)

I'll end this introduction here, later on, I'll talk about managing stress and talk about careers and bunches of other stuff.

Bye for now

Joe~
